We don't sell leads. We don't let anyone pay for placement. Every contractor on Woogoro earns their listing.
Woogoro exists to help homeowners and car owners make informed decisions. Our contractor directory is built on trust, not ad spend. These standards ensure that every listed business meets a baseline of professionalism and transparency.
Listing Tiers
Basic Listing
- Available to any contractor or repair shop
- Business name, phone, service area, services offered
- Marked as "unverified" until standards are met
- No priority placement
- Must agree to Woogoro Terms of Service
Verified Listing
Requirements
- Valid state/local contractor license (or ASE certification for auto repair)
- Proof of general liability insurance (minimum $1M)
- Active for 2+ years (business registration or equivalent)
- No unresolved BBB complaints
- Minimum 3.5 star average on Google Reviews (10+ reviews)
Benefits
- "Verified" badge on listing
- Appears above unverified listings in search results
- Eligible to appear in quote analysis results
Featured Listing
Requirements
- Must hold Verified status (all requirements above)
- Must maintain a 4.0+ star Google Review average
- Must agree to the Woogoro Transparency Pledge
- Subject to periodic review; featured status can be revoked

Woogoro Transparency Pledge
Contractors with Featured listings agree to the following:
- Provide itemized quotes (labor and materials separated)
- State labor rates explicitly
- Include warranty terms in every quote
- No same-day signing pressure or "today only" pricing
- Include permit costs if applicable
- Respond to customer disputes within 5 business days
- Allow Woogoro to display anonymized quote data for benchmarking (no customer PII)
Removal and Suspension Policy
Woogoro reserves the right to remove or downgrade any listing if:
- License or insurance lapses
- Google Review average drops below 3.0
- Multiple consumer complaints are filed
- Contractor violates the Transparency Pledge
- Contractor engages in fake review activity
- Contractor misrepresents services, pricing, or credentials
Removed contractors may reapply after 6 months.
Auto Repair Shop Standards
The same tier structure applies to auto repair shops. In addition to the general requirements above, the following apply:
- ASE certification (at least one certified mechanic on staff) for Verified status
- Valid state motor vehicle repair license where required
- Itemized quotes showing parts (OEM/aftermarket/reman), labor hours, and labor rate
- Posted shop labor rate
- Parts and labor warranty terms disclosed

Frequently Asked Questions

- No. Basic and Verified listings are free. Featured placement requires Verified status and a monthly fee.
- How long does verification take?
- Typically 3-5 business days after submitting documentation.
- Can I lose my Verified status?
- Yes. If your license, insurance, or review average falls below our standards, your listing will be downgraded to Basic until resolved.
- Do you sell my leads?
- No. Homeowners contact you directly. We never share contractor information with third parties.
